Tips and hints for establishing a unidentifiable presence in the Anonymous movement.

WARNING: Anonymous chat channels are constantly being trolled by private intelligence security contractors, military intelligence agents, foreign intelligence agencies and scumbags who will "dox" or "out" your identity and possibly hack into your legit email accounts, and on-line private information. 

Below some of the best tips on beginning your cyberspace journey into Anonymity  .... the best protection methods are outlined, to the best of our current knowledge.

Establishing an Anonymous identity might best be initiated from an unsecured, public hot spot at your local internet cafes, public libraries, etc. 

THE HARD WAY - PRINT OUT

Use xchat and "edit" and check connect with SSL. MIRC should have that too. 

Once connected to the server, don't go to a #channel until you register and get a vhost ideally.  If you are connected via ssl your ip will not show in the channel anyway but its safer to get a vhost. 

To do that:

1. Log in using a nickname (put in the client do NOT use anything like your name, the channels are monitored buy god knows who including hackers, crackers, agents etc. and

2. Sit for 90 seconds, then type exactly this string > /msg nickserv register mypassword my@fakemail - then hit enter
obviously use something other than mypassword for a password, the email can be whats there

3.  Wait another 90 seconds, then type /join #vhost and hit enter
this will put you into a channel to get a vhost but don't lag there or they will kick/ban you!
 
- have a vhost selected already to paste in such as
mynick@my.cool.vhost then type !vhost and paste in that mynick@...
the vhost should have at least 2 periods
if you did it right you will get a message that you were kicked out of #vhost

4. Now you can join any channel but we recommend going to #opnewblood first to get oriented and chat with helpful channel ops first before going to #opmetalgear, that way you will be sure the IP address is not being broadcast to all the others in the channel

This is a web client and if you go in here they will help you set up MIRC with ssl and the vhost etc.
